Professor Gregory Gause discussed the prospective Gulf Cooperation Council Union, including the implications for domestic politics in the GCC states and regional security.

Professor Gause is Professor and Chair or the Political Science Department at the University of Vermont. He is also a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Brookings Doha Center. His most recent book is "The International Relations of the Persian Gulf" (Cambridge 2010). He was previously on the faculty of Columbia University and was a Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, Kuwait Foundation Visiting Professor at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Fulbright Scholar the American University of Kuwait. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University.
